Mindful Parenting
“Life is here to teach us as we go along, and parenting is just one very special course - with no textbook. We just have to show up for class each and every moment.” ~ Julie Kailus
At the heart of Mindful Parenting is the desire to be more fully human rather than being the perfect parent. Mindfulness Meditation and Mindful Parenting skills can help you learn how to respond instead of react, experience more “being” and less “doing," foster a greater connection and attunement with yourself and your loved ones, manage daily parenting and family life with increased joy and decreased stress, and to take time to care for your own wellbeing.
“Mindful parenting is a way of riding the roller coaster with your eyes open, your mind clear, your body relaxed, and your spirit and heart involved – rather than clutching on for dear life, clenching shut, and not really enjoying the ride at all. In some ways, it’s about riding it for all it’s worth.” ~ Cassandra Vieten, Ph.D.
