Mindfulness Community of Central PA
Mission
Founded in October 2008, The Mindfulness Community of Central PA (MCCP) is dedicated to the practice and cultivation of mindfulness and compassion - for our own well-being and that of the communities around us. At the heart of all MCCP activities is the practice of Mindfulness Meditation. Based on a 2500-year-old Buddhist practice, supported by modern research, and adapted for use in a contemporary non-sectarian community, this practice helps us to see more deeply and clearly into our lives. With insight, we develop ways of living more peacefully, compassionately, and wisely in a safe and inclusive community.
Vision
1. To provide a social environment where the contemplative life can be developed and protected amidst the complexities of contemporary life with the goal of attaining inner peace and full human realization.
2. To create a supportive learning community that complements a rich and balance life from a mindfulness perspective.
3. To provide an environment where people can cultivate and express their practice together.
4. To engage in social, educational, environmental, and humanitarian service for all.
Feel free to contact us for more information about any of our programs or events. We look forward to hearing from you and hope you can join us soon!
